Bid Recall Recall Rights LOA Update — March 30, 2021

Next Step in the Bid Area Recall LOA

Now that the LOA has been ratified, the next steps in the process has begun. The company sent out emails starting on March 29, 2021 with instructions on how to make your elections. For Permanent members, if you have not received an email from the company, you can access the instruction to make your elections by signing on to Flying Together, go to your “HELP HUB” and select “TO DOs”, follow the selection process.

For members on Lay-off status, when you are permanently recalled to your original station and do not return to the original bid area, you will have 14 days from the date of notification of recall to make your selection to your previous bid area, if you desire.

Be sure to check your company emails periodically for any additional information.

Bid Area Recall Rights LOA Vote Extended to March 19.

March 10, 2021

To All UAL IBT members

Re: Bid area recall LOA

Brothers and Sisters,

Due to the many furloughed members returning off the street or transferring back to their home station in early January, those members have yet to receive voting instructions in the mail regarding the Bid area LOA.

Over the last week, some of our Locals throughout the country were inundated with calls requesting voter credentials to participate in the ratification process and some of our members at various stations still have not received voting instructions.

THE VOTING CREDENTIALS REQUEST PERIOD HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO THURSDAY, MARCH 18, 2021 AT 12PM EST (EASTERN TIME).

As a result, we feel that each and every member that wishes to participate in the ratification process should have the opportunity to do so therefore; the ratification date will be moved back one week to Friday, March 19th.

Instructions for Local 856 Members Who Need Voting Credentials

Instructions for Local 986 Members Who Need Voting Credentials

February 17, 2021

Brothers and Sisters,

After the round of layoffs in October it became clear that members needed an option to return to their respective bid areas if they so choose. There is no contractual provision to allow for this however. The Company after speaking with us, and with many of you, also recognized the problem. As a result, we were able to come to an agreement which resulted in an LOA that will be implemented upon ratification by the membership. The constitution of the IBT requires a ratification on LOAs such as this one that change the terms of the current CBA. Please read the LOA and the associated FAQs. If you agree this change needs to be made, please vote yes. Conversely, if you believe the change should not be made indicate that by voting no.

BallotPoint is conducting the ratification vote for the IBT as in the past. There will be an option to either vote by phone or via the internet. Please look for instructions in the mail which you should begin receiving next week. Voting will remain open for twenty-one days from the date the ballots are mailed. Duplicate ballot requests will begin to be accepted about two weeks after voting begins and will be sent via text or email depending on your preference. Once the ballots are tallied a notice will be sent out.

If there are any questions, please contact your Business Agents or Chief Stewards.
